Where I come from shaped how I see opportunity.

I was born in Burundi. The environment I grew up in shaped my perspective. It taught me that opportunity is not equally distributed, and that two people with the same ambition do not always start with the same access.
It also taught me to see both sides at once: the limitations, and the possibilities. That double vision is still how I read every project, every market and every idea.
This is not a story of poverty. It is a story of dignity, complexity and ambition — and of learning early that your starting point influences you, but it does not have to define your destination.

02 — The world I was looking toward
I knew there was a bigger world.
The internet opened a door before any border did. Through it I found education, ideas, international conversations and people building things I wanted to understand.
I looked for opportunities beyond Burundi, including opportunities connected to America and other international environments. I prepared, I applied, I tried.
Opportunities do not always materialise simply because someone is willing to pursue them. International mobility and visa processes can create real barriers — and that is part of the honest version of this story.
